I submitted my design idea with sketches and a photo of the start of the knit section to the publication today...
I'm embarrased that it's LATE! I had written down the WRONG DATE!...but they said to send it anyway (phew!)
So...keep those fingers crossed a bit EXTRA!

Working as often as possible on my new design! Only got about 30 minutes in this morning in between meetings out of town. Phew! I"ll try to post a few more photos this weekend.

This is the last morning of my mini-vacation. I have two hours left until I head to the airport! Yesterady was THE DAY of DAYS -- sunny and 75F...while today is 60F and rainy. Again - better than the 30F and windy i'll greet in NYC! Spent a good long while knitting last night. I worked on the New Project that I hope to finish in a week for submission to a publication. Phew! I'm off to pack and relax with the dogs and cats until my frined comes home on her lunch break to take me to the airport, where i'll knit, then board a plane, where i'll knit. :-)

Spent last night teaching one of the gals to knit --- she seems to have taken hold nicely and is working on a simply stockinette stich baby blanket on 6's with a chunkier yarn. Midnight was the bewitching hour when it all fell into place!
After she left and my hostess was in bed i began working on my nwe project, of my design, for submission to a publication shortly I hope. It's quite complicated -- intarsia method needed for sure here!
I'm off to knit and spend the afternoon on lesson 2 (lesson one for my hostess.)

Hello from Bermuda! 65F and balmy! It's been great so far to be away! Good friends, good food and good conversation. Today, being the first day of spring, HAPPY SOLSTICE!, we wanted to do something to start anew...
SO - yes - i'm teaching my two girlfriends down here HOW TO KNIT! (i know, shocker!)
Off the yarn store! (I'll surely have to keep my hands in my pockets!)

I'm packed and ready to go! I'm heading to Bermuda for a 5 day RT vacation.
It's not so warm there -- 65F average, but i'll take it over the SNOW that's falling down outside as I type!

I've packed my needles for my newly "being designed" project, as well as my capelet that's nearing completion! :-) I'm hoping to finish it on the plane! This will be such a short flight compared to the usual flights to Asia!

I'm not sure if I'll have email access there, so I'll write when I return!
R-E-L-A-X-A-T-I-O-N HERE I COME!!!

I knit on the subway, per usual, this morning. It's always interesting to watch the people when you knit. It ALWAYS starts atleast one conversation in the car. I hear people wondering what I'm making, discussing the fact that they once knit or that they wished they knew how. Sometimes they ask questions, sometimes you can tell they wished they could ask (and SHOULD!) It's a great way to start my day!
My Capelet is coming along nicely...of course I seem to have plently of time before I could wear this loosely knit ditty with the weather cold again!

Snowing like mad here in NYC. It's only March no matter what the calander says of Spring's arrival! Spent yesterday morning journeying to and from the NYC courthouse to see about pending jury duty. The ceilings of the entrance of the building @ 60 Center Street was recently repainted -- quite patriotic and vivid! Since it was such a lovely day (59F and sunny) I stopped by the Yarn Connection (http://theyarnconnection.com/home/) on the way back to the office (since it WAS on the way) to see what was in the sale bin... bummer... not enough for any of the projects on my mind... So instead I bought $$$ Rowan Cotton yarn for the project I'm designing (TBA).

Last night I worked on 3 more knit chart motifs for a new "TBD" project that I hope to start knitting. I'm eager to get back to it tonight!!
Back to work I go!

Bought a Book on HTML yesterday (along with 2 more knitting books!)
I'll have this sucker up in a few days the right way!!!
