"CROQUIE"
MY NEW LEG WARMER PATTERN

Size: Adult
Materials:
Needle: 16" circular needle size US 8 (5mm)
YARN: Plymouth Encore Colorspun D.K.
6 skeins: 50 G (1 3/4 OZ) 150 Yards (double knit weight)
Color: 7991
Content: 75% Acrylic, 25% Wool
Machine Washable and Dryable 80F degrees

ABBREVIATIONS:
K1b = knit into knit stitch 1 row below (as shown in photo below)

Leg Warmers:
NOTE: Entire project is knit with two pieces of yarn held together. This was done because 1 piece alone wasn't warm enough. Also note that I used DOUBLE KNIT weight.

Cast on 56 stitches.
Rows 1-5:[K1, P1] entire row. Repeat this rib for 5 rows.

Rows 6-115: Main part of leg:
Even Rows: Purl entire row.
Odd Rows: [P1, K1, K1b, K1] Repeat entire row.
Repeat above 2 rows 55 times.

Rows 116-128 (13 rows): Rib at top:
[K1, P1] entire row.

Cast off in loose rib knit [K1, P1] entire row.
Sew in ends.

NOTE: You CAN use only one strand of yarn - but it comes out much more drapey and will likely slouch down your leg - thus you may want to make it 6-8" longer. It also, obviously, won't be as warm with only 1 strand.

See January 10th for a finished photo!
